A small garage conversion
This small garage conversion in Whittle Le Woods required some careful planning as the customer needed a multifunctional space to include a home office, bathroom and utility area. We designed and built a room which maximised the space to include a shower, toilet and hand basin, a laundry area as well as a home office space.
New Pitched Roof
The existing single skin garage structure was already up. A new pitched roof was installed to create a brighter and more spacious feel to the garage conversion. Marley modern roof tiles were used on the roof with breathable membrane and light oak facias and soffit. We used 100mm insulation in between the rafters to meet current building regulations.
Internally we installed a new floating floor to give some insulation on the concrete slab. We then lined the walls with timber studwork, wrapped in a breathable membrane as it was single skin. The studwork was then filled with 75mm rigid insulation and plasterboarded.
